A rehearsal-style class that emulates a Broadway music rehearsal

A large group of people in a music rehearsal room, seated with music sheets, facing a conductor who is standing and conducting at a piano. The room has white walls, grey curtains, and ceiling lights.

Broadway Ensemble Project isn’t just a class - it’s a community. After every session I leave more confident, connected, and creatively fulfilled. The directors truly see you, challenge you, and cheer you on! We need more of that! Whether you’re a seasoned performer or stepping back into the room after time away, B.E.P. is the kind of environment that reminds you why you love this work. It’s professional, passionate, and full of heart.

This class is exactly what it promises to be: collaborative, fast-paced, and about as genuine a simulation of an ensemble music rehearsal as you can get. I felt respected and challenged, and just had a dang blast. Jacob consistently reminded us that in a first rehearsal, you’re not going for perfection - you’re aiming for gradual improvement, understanding, and getting what you need to work the material on your own and then nail it on Day 2.

I wanted to join the Broadway Ensemble Project, because it gave me an opportunity to be a part of something during a time I'm not currently booked. It has given me the chance to grow as a ensemble member and creative while allowing me to practice my craft!

I joined BEP because I wanted a way to be able to sing my favorite songs in a professional setting and make friends! What made it special was that anyone can participate in this awesome class, and everyone is included! I have learned so much from this class, such as bettering my ability to read sheet music, and that I’m an alto!

BEP is a really great way to use muscles I don't always get to flex when training. It's a really nice way to consider how I fit within a greater puzzle and hold myself accountable.

I joined this class because I haven't seen anything like it. It almost feels like choir for theatre kids. A place to practice your ensemble singing in a professional but FUN way. As someone who just moved to New York and isn't booked this summer it feels great to meet new people and scratch that "rehearsal" itch. I'm so grateful to have found this class and will be continuing as long as they are around. If it's a cult, where do I shave my head cuz I'm in 🤣

I found the Broadway Ensemble Project on Playbill, and signing up was one of the best decisions I've ever made! Whether you enjoy singing in a group for fun, are serious about pursuing a career in the arts, or have established yourself as an artist, Broadway Ensemble Project is the place for you! I love meeting people passionate about theatre and singing together in a low-stakes, educational, and fun environment! I am so grateful to the Broadway Ensemble Project for bringing people together in a time when we need music most.

@denae_joy612

I had an amazing time. I was able to focus and also have fun. The working environment was lighthearted and comfortable. I felt joyous singing with people I don’t know, and it taught me a lot of independence in learning.

I signed up for Broadway Ensemble Project because I needed a way back into performing and singing that felt low stakes and fun. It was such a treat getting to dust off some old skills and tools that I haven't needed to use in a while. I also loved being in community with other singers and getting to experience the feeling of being part of an ensemble again. I had more fun than I could have expected. It made me remember why I love performing!
